After several years of employment as a litigation consultant under the study of several well-know litigation consultants and Bay Area builders, founder Gregg de Haan decided it was time to move forward and establish his own firm.

Our Philosophy

The firm is founded on two basic concepts, Industry Experience and Integrity. The firm is compiled of a balanced mix of highly talented Contractors, Electricians and Engineers. The goal is to provide a “valuable package” for our clients’ various needs. The firm’s philosophy is simple; provide a group of experts much like a building is originally constructed to get a balanced, educated opinion for fair resolution.

The building trade faces many challenges: Man-power/woman-power coordination, tight schedules, adverse building environments, fiscal constraints and challenging design, which often times leads to construction defects. Given the above listed challenges, de Haan & Associates Construction Consulting was established.

He took a brief break in the construction trade to perform mechanical design and production in an infrared optics lab building a blood glucose measuring device. After his break in construction trade he returned to the industry to work for Ryan Associates.  In 2006 he left Paul Ryan to begin litigation and waterproofing consulting. He joined Richard Avelar and Associates in 2007 where he took a lead expert role in several large scale construction defect matters.
